KP Excise Dept intensifies crackdown on property tax defaulters

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has intensified its enforcement campaign against property tax defaulters in Peshawar, resulting in the sealing of multiple units for non-payment of outstanding tax liabilities despite repeated notices and opportunities for compliance

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has intensified its enforcement campaign against property tax defaulters in Peshawar, resulting in the sealing of multiple units for non-payment of outstanding tax liabilities despite repeated notices and opportunities for compliance.

According to details received from the department, a special recovery drive was being carried out under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO-II) Property Tax Peshawar, Tausif Khan. The operation, led by Assistant Excise and Taxation Officer Zar Ali Khan, targets major property tax defaulters across the provincial capital.

During the latest phase of the campaign, enforcement teams conducted operations in various areas of Peshawar and sealed a number of tax-defaulting units in accordance with the relevant laws after owners failed to clear their outstanding property tax dues.

The Excise Department has urged all property owners to ensure timely payment of their property tax obligations to avoid legal action and inconvenience.

The department reiterated its commitment to enforcing tax laws and enhancing government revenue collection, adding that such operations will continue against tax defaulters.
