Three sentenced to life jail on assaulting boy

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2026) An Additional District and Sessions Judge (AD&SJ) sentenced three accused

to life imprisonment with heavy fine on charge of assaulting a boy and recording

his video.

The criminal offense and the subsequent mental distress had forced the boy

to commit suicide, police spokesman said on Tuesday.

The AD&SJ Jalalpur Pirwala sentenced accused Shahzad, Haseeb and Husnain

to life imprisonment. Each of the three accused were ordered to pay Rs 500,000

as fine and Rs 200,000 as compensation to the heirs of the boy.

The accused had committed the criminal offense in the year 2023 in Bait Kesar

area of tehsil Jalalpur Pirwala. The victim boy had later allegedly committed suicide

by hanging himself with a rope by neck.

Jalalpur Pirwala police had registered the case 371/23 under sections 375-A, 365

and 292 PPC, arrested the accused and had started investigations. Police submitted

Challan before the trial court with solid evidence that resulted in their conviction,

the spokesman added.
