05 AJK local body seats fall vacant as chairmen, vice chairmen, and members resign from their offices

MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission, in response to the move of the Secretary of Local Government and Religious Development, has declared the following local body seats vacant, which include District Poonch Union Council Nasal Banal, Manzhual, Vice Chairman; District Kotli Union Council, Raja Bani; Municipal Committee, Secunderabad; District Bhimber Union, Nasal Pune, Chairman; Qila Pachiz; and District Bhimber Union Council, Maloot, Chairman and Vice Chairman, due to the resignation of the Chairman/Vice Chairman as above, it was officially said.

The schedule of re-elections to these vacant seats will be announced later, an official statement issued by the AJK Election Commission said.
