1,000 scouts, volunteers deployed in Madinah to assist Hajj pilgrims

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2026) General education Department in Madinah Region has launched scout and volunteer activities for the Hajj 1447 AH season, deploying more than 1,000 male and female scouts and volunteers to assist pilgrims and visitors in Madinah.

According to SPA, the initiative includes 250 scouts and over 800 volunteers assigned to several key locations to provide support and guidance to visitors at religious sites across the holy city.

The report said the teams are assisting lost pilgrims, helping elderly people and persons with disabilities, and supporting crowd management and pedestrian movement around Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, Quba Mosque, Miqat Mosque and Qiblatain Mosque.

The activities are being carried out in coordination with government agencies to provide logistical and humanitarian services aimed at ensuring pilgrims’ comfort and safety during the Hajj season.

Director General of Education in Madinah Region Nasser Al-Abdulkarim also inspected the Scout Center and reviewed field efforts by scouts and volunteers at the Prophet’s Mosque.

He praised the commitment, discipline and high morale shown by the teams while serving pilgrims and supporting operational plans during the Hajj season.
