10 suspects arrested, weapons recovered

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) Police launched a grand operation against anti-social elements and arrested 10 suspects during various operations carried out over the past two days.

According to an official press release issued by the District Police Office here, large quantity of liquor and illegal weapons were recovered.

It said that police teams from Samasatta, Derawar, Saddar Ahmedpur East, and Saddar Hasilpur police stations conducted successful raids and arrested six suspects involved in the sale of liquor.

During the operations, 203 liters of liquor and one operational distillation unit were recovered from their possession.

Similarly, police from Kotwali, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed, Nowshehra Jadeed, and Saddar Yazman police stations carried out operations against illegal weapons and arrested four suspects. Four 30-bore pistols were recovered from their possession.

Separate cases have been registered against the arrested suspects, and investigations have been initiated.
