LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) The district administration of Lahore carried out a large-scale operation against illegal constructions, resulting in the demolition of 11 unauthorised buildings across different areas of the provincial capital.
According to official details, the operation was conducted jointly by the district administration, planning wing, and enforcement teams, which remained active in the field throughout the drive to ensure compliance with urban regulations.
Targeted actions were carried out in Aziz Bhatti Town and Nashtar Zone, where illegal constructions were identified and removed following due legal process. The operation covered multiple localities including Jallo Mor, Bengali area, Ghaziabad, and Bediaan Road.
Officials stated that notices had been issued prior to the action and all necessary legal requirements were fulfilled before the demolition process was initiated.
The enforcement teams ensured that the operation remained systematic and in accordance with regulatory procedures. The administration confirmed that a total of 11 illegal structures were completely demolished during the crackdown.
Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Ijaz said that the campaign against illegal constructions would continue without any discrimination across the district. He emphasized that all unauthorized buildings and encroachments must be removed immediately from all areas in line with the law. He further reiterated that no compromise would be made on the supremacy of law, adding that strict monitoring and enforcement operations would continue in the coming days to curb illegal construction activities in the city.
