11 suspects busted in grand operation

BAHAWALPUR Jun 11 (APP) , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 11th Jun, 2026) The district police have taken 11 suspects into custody during a grand operation conducted in different localities of the district.

According to a spokesman for Bahawalpur police, Bahawalpur Police carried out a series of successful operations against criminal elements, resulting in the arrest of 11 suspects involved in liquor trafficking, drug dealing, and illegal weapons possession.

“During operations conducted by Kotwali Police Station and Sadar Bahawalpur Police Station, two suspects involved in the sale of illicit liquor were arrested,” he said, adding that police recovered 45 liters of liquor from their possession.

He further said that in a separate crackdown on narcotics, police tightened the noose around drug dealers and arrested five suspects,” adding that recoveries included 2.91 kilograms of hashish and 120 grams of crystal meth.

Meanwhile, police teams from Musafirkhana Police Station, Sadar Yazman Police Station, and Sadar Hasilpur Police Station took action against illegal weapons possession and arrested four suspects. During the operation, police recovered four 30-bore pistols from their possession.

Separate cases have been registered against all arrested suspects, and investigations are underway
