12 gamblers held in Rawalpindi during crackdown

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) City Police have arrested 12 alleged gamblers in a crackdown and recovered stake money amounting to Rs240,780,

10 mobile phones and playing cards from their possession, police said on Friday.

According to police spokesman, the gamblers were rounded up during an operation conducted by the City Police.

Police have registered separate cases against all of them and further investigation was in progress.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Saad Arshad appreciated the performance of police team and said that the arrested accused will be presented in the court with solid evidence.

He stated gambling was the root cause of several social evils and reaffirmed the police commitment to continue strict action against such unlawful activities.
