126 parks to be revived fully in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) Divisional Commissioner(DC),Musarrat Jabeen has said the divisional administration will fully restore all 126 public parks in the city to transform them into well-equipped and quality recreational spaces for citizens.

Chairing a meeting of the Horticulture Agency on Monday,she directed officials to prepare a comprehensive plan for 100 per cent rehabilitation of parks, noting that over half already have basic facilities but require complete upgradation.

Emphasizing the need for modern recreational facilities, the commissioner instructed horticulture authorities to engage the private sector by accelerating implementation of the “Adopt-a-Park” program to ensure sustainable maintenance and development.

She also ordered enhancement of beautification work on green belts across the city and called for innovative landscaping measures to improve the overall urban environment.

Special focus was placed on Jinnah Bagh, where she directed further upgradation and beautification of the children’s play area to make it more engaging and family-friendly.

Highlighting the importance of uniformity and aesthetics, she directed procurement of modern machinery for standardized trimming of large roadside trees along major arteries to give the city a more organized and visually appealing look.

The commissioner instructed all departments to ensure timely execution of the plan,saying provision of quality recreational facilities remained a top priority of the divisional administration.

Managing Director Parks and Horticulture Agency Dilawar Khan briefed the meeting on ongoing initiatives and future plans, assuring that practical steps were being taken to improve facilities and ensure better upkeep of public parks.
