140 vehicles imposed with fine for tinted glasses

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi on Wednesday continued strict action against vehicles fitted with black and tinted window films, issuing challans to 140 vehicles during operations, a CTP spokesman said.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam ordered strict action, across the board enforcement, saying the law did not permit the use of black or coloured window tints.

He said the drive was aimed at ensuring compliance with traffic rules and maintaining public safety and order.

The CTO termed the use of tinted films a punishable offence and made it clear that no exemptions would be allowed.

He urged motorists to avoid installing such films to steer clear of legal action.
