ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) Saudi Post (SPL) has announced its operational readiness for the 1447 AH Hajj season, deploying an integrated logistics and postal ecosystem through 17 international entry points to facilitate pilgrims’ journey from their home countries to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah.
According to SPA, the organization has mobilized its human and technical capabilities to deliver high-quality services and enhance operational efficiency across all stages of the pilgrimage, while playing a key logistical role in the Makkah Route Initiative, one of the initiatives of the Saudi Ministry of Interior under the Pilgrim Experience Program, which falls within Saudi Vision 2030.
The initiative is being implemented for the eighth consecutive year in cooperation with government partners across 10 countries through 17 international entry points, within a comprehensive operational model designed to streamline pilgrims’ movement from departure lounges in their home countries until their arrival in the holy cities.
Under this system, SPL manages the tagging and coding of pilgrims’ luggage at designated initiative lounges in beneficiary countries through specialized teams, ensuring its smooth transportation to accommodations in the Kingdom. The process includes advanced sorting mechanisms aligned with transport schedules and accommodation arrangements in Makkah and Madinah regions.
More than 565 trained personnel have been deployed round the clock, supported by a logistics fleet of over 100 trucks and 65 vehicles dedicated to parcel transport, significantly boosting operational efficiency and service delivery.
The organization is also offering a range of advanced services tailored to pilgrims’ needs, including delivery of Nusuk cards, Hady and Adahi vouchers, the “Hajj Without Luggage” service, and parcel handling for pilgrims, alongside official mail, commercial publishing, and healthcare solutions services, supporting multiple sectors during the Hajj season.
