PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) During the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, a total of 178 babies were born in various hospitals across Swabi district, according to official reports released by the Medical Teaching Institutions (MTIs) on Wednesday.
The report stated that 5,824 patients received medical treatment in MTI hospitals during the Eid holidays. Healthcare services remained fully operational, with doctors and medical staff providing uninterrupted care throughout the festive period.
In addition, 215 people injured in road accidents were brought to hospitals and given timely medical assistance. Between March 19 and March 23, more than 200 minor and major surgeries were successfully performed.
The report also highlighted that 7 individuals injured in incidents of violence and firing were treated.
A total of 164 dog-bite cases were reported and all affected individuals were provided with necessary vaccinations.
Furthermore, hospitals conducted 4,872 medical tests and offered free dialysis services to 132 patients. Diagnostic services included 110 CT scans, 695 X-rays, 290 ECGs and over 40 ultrasound examinations.
Around 260 patients were admitted to hospitals during Eid, reflecting the continued demand for healthcare services even during public holidays.
Health authorities appreciated the dedication of doctors and medical staff who ensured the provision of healthcare services without interruption during Eid celebrations.
