19 police officials suspended over negligence during duty

SWABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Swabi, Waqas Rafiq, on Wednesday suspended 19 police personnel of various police stations for negligence.

According to police, the decision to suspend was taken after the officials were found guilty of negligence in performing their duties.

The suspended officials include one Station House Officer (SHO), two Sub-Inspectors and several other police personnel. The suspensions as part of measures to enhance security during the ongoing polio vaccination campaign.

Police sources further stated that formal charge sheets would be issued to the suspended officials at a later stage. During the inquiry, various aspects of their performance and alleged negligence would be thoroughly reviewed and further disciplinary action may be taken based on the findings.
