FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) Police have intensified crackdown on wanted criminals and arrested 19 proclaimed offenders
involved in heinous crimes including robbery, theft and bogus cheque fraud, during targeted
operations conducted across the district over the past 24 hours.
Police spokesperson said here on Monday that the arrested suspects had been absconding
in various cases registered at different police stations and were wanted by law enforcement
agencies in connection with serious offences.
The proclaimed offenders taken into custody include Ali Hamza, Ahsan, Muhammad Afzal,
Qamar, Kamran, Ghulam Murtaza, Mubasshar, Yasin, Nasir, Ali and several others.
Police teams apprehended the suspects during intelligence-based and targeted operations
launched to trace and arrest criminals evading the law, he added.
Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain said that Faisalabad police were
continuing intelligence-led operations against proclaimed offenders and other criminals
involved in unlawful activities.

in crime and ensuring that they were brought before the courts to face legal proceedings.
The CPO reiterated that protection of citizens' lives and property remained a top priority
and that comprehensive measures were being taken to maintain peace and public order
throughout the district.
He said that no criminal could remain beyond the reach of the law and warned that indiscriminate
action against proclaimed offenders and absconders would continue without interruption.
He emphasized that the ongoing campaign against hardened criminals was part of a broader
strategy aimed at reducing crime, strengthening public confidence in law enforcement
institutions and creating a safer environment for residents.
Further operations were underway to arrest other wanted suspects and ensure effective
enforcement of the law across Faisalabad, he added.
