2,112 personnel deployed for Shab-e-Qadr security

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar has issued a comprehensive security plan for Shab-e-Qadr

and directed the officers to place security arrangements on high alert .

He said that the police had deployed 2,112 officers and personnel at 610 mosques, Imam bargahs and other places of worship across the district including 163 upper subordinate officers, 198 head constables and 1,751 constables to maintain law & order during the sacred night.

He said that Elite Force teams, Dolphin Force and Motorcycle Squads would conduct thorough patrolling in their respective areas in accordance with the security plan to ensure effective surveillance and rapid response.

He said that important locations have been divided into sectors where 44 police mobile units would carry out regular patrols to maintain vigilance. Additional pickets and patrolling points have been established at crowded places to ensure enhanced security arrangements, he added.
