2-member gang involved in street crime busted in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) Police have apprehended a two-member gang involved in street crime and three snatched mobile phones and Rs66,000 in cash from their possession during crackdown here on Sunday.

According to a police spokesman, the Rawat Police conducted a raid and arrested a gang involved in street crime using modern technology.

Police have registered separate cases against both of them and further investigation is in progress.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Anum Sher appreciated the performance of police team and said the arrested suspects would be challaned with solid evidence and produced before the court.

She said those depriving citizens of their valuables could not escape the clutches of the law, adding that operations against criminal elements would be continued without any discrimination.
