20,000 saplings planted at Chak Jhumra Road

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) On the initiative of the district administration, over 20,000 saplings have been planted under the plantation campaign near Karari railway crossing, Chak Jhumra Road, while 19,000 more saplings will be planted in the coming days.

Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Nadeem Nasir also planted saplings along with students of various schools and said that tree plantation is of great importance for promoting a lush green environment and maintaining ecological balance.

He urged citizens to play an active role in environmental improvement by planting more and more trees. He directed the authorities concerned to ensure the safety and regular care of the planted trees.

Assistant Commissioner (Saddar) Dr Zulqarnain Wattoo, District Forest Officer, representatives of Faisalabad Waste Management Company and other relevant officers were also present.
