20 arrested during crackdown on drugs, weapons

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) The Bahawalpur district police carried out a grand operation against liquor sellers in different parts of the district and arrested 20 suspects.

According to a press release issued here, the police recovered 1,075 litres of liquor from the accused and four operational distillation units, while four liquor sellers were taken into custody.

Similarly, the police arrested 12 suspects and recovered 3.650kg hashish along with 1.512kg crystal ice from them.

During action against illegal weapons holders, the police arrested four suspects and recovered one mini Kalashnikov and three 30-bore pistols from them.

Separate cases have been registered against the arrested accused, and investigations have been initiated.
