236 POs held in week-long crackdown

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Police on Monday arrested 236 Proclaimed Offenders(PO's) during a week-long crackdown carried out across the district on the special directives of the District Police Officer (DPO).

According to a police spokesperson,the intensified operations led to the arrest of 22 high-profile criminals listed in Category A and 121 offenders belonging to Category B,who were allegedly involved in various serious crimes.

The spokesperson added that 93 habitual criminals were also taken into custody during targeted raids conducted at several hideouts in different areas of the district.

Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals have been initiated at their respective police stations.
