246 drone attacks foiled across KP in 2026: Report

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) Police and law enforcing agencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa successfully foiled several attempted drone attacks across the province during the ongoing year of 2026.

According to official report on Sunday, a total of 246 drone attack attempts were recorded. The highest number of 215 such attacks occurred in the Bannu region.

Other areas also reported attempted attacks, including 15 incidents in Dera Ismail Khan, 7 in Malakand and 4 in Peshawar. Additionally, two attempts each were foiled in Mardan and Kohat while one incident was reported in the Hazara division.

Police officials stated that all these attacks were successfully prevented using advanced anti-drone technology, ensuring that no casualties or damage occurred.

Authorities continue to remain vigilant amid ongoing security concerns in the region.
