The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Wednesday issued a 27-page detailed verdict in the murder case of 17-year-old Sana Yousaf, awarding the death sentence to convict Umar Hayat under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Wednesday issued a 27-page detailed verdict in the murder case of 17-year-old Sana Yousaf, awarding the death sentence to convict Umar Hayat under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The court also imposed fines and multiple prison terms under different charges after ruling that the prosecution had presented strong evidence against the accused.
The detailed judgment was issued by Additional District and Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka in the Islamabad district courts.
According to the verdict, the prosecution successfully proved its case through two eyewitnesses who testified against the accused. The court stated that fingerprint evidence collected from the victim’s house also matched the accused, strengthening the prosecution’s case.
The judgment further said that the vehicle and pistol used in the crime were recovered from the accused during the investigation.

The verdict stated that there was no other motive behind the killing except the refusal to meet the accused. The court described the act as serious in nature and ruled that the convict did not deserve any leniency.
Based on the evidence and findings, the court sentenced Umar Hayat to death under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code. In addition to the death sentence, the court also imposed a fine of Rs200,000 on the convict.
The court awarded further punishment under other sections of the law. Under Section 392 of the Pakistan Penal Code, the convict was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment along with a fine of Rs200,000.
Under Section 449, the accused was handed another 10-year prison sentence and fined Rs200,000. The court also sentenced the convict to one year imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs100,000 under Section 411 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
