3,790 Afghans repatriate during last 24 hours as process accelerates

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2026) The repatriation of Afghan nationals from various districts and holding camps in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continued on Monday, with an additional 3,790 illegally residing Afghans returning to Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing, official figures said.

The largest number of departures was recorded at the Jamrud Holding Centre in Khyber district, from where 1,834 Afghan nationals were sent back.

Smaller groups also departed from Swabi, Jamrud tehsil, Nowshera, Haripur, Azakhel, Juma Khan, Kohat and Naguman camp in Peshawar.

Officials said the phased repatriation process remains underway and all these people are being transferred to Afghanistan via Torkham border after completion of the required legal formalities.

The latest figures bring the number of Afghan nationals repatriated from the province over the past 24 hours to 3,790.
