LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) At least three people were killed and 17 others injured in various rain- and windstorm-related incidents across Punjab during the last 24 hours.
A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 said on Wednesday that various incidents of roof and wall collapses were reported from districts due to heavy rain and strong winds.
In Bhakkar, a man lost his life while four others were injured in two separate roof collapse incidents. In Khanewal, two people were injured after a house roof caved in.
In Muzaffargarh, two individuals sustained injuries in separate incidents of roof collapse and slipping during rain.
In Sargodha, a man was injured when a room wall collapsed, resulting in the death of livestock.
In Dera Ghazi Khan, five people were injured after a hotel shed collapsed due to rain. In Taunsa, a man died and two others were injured separate roof collapse incidents.
In Toba Tek Singh, a man was electrocuted after coming into contact with a pole during rain, while in Chiniot, one individual was injured after slipping.
The spokesman said that critically injured people were provided the first aid and shifted to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
