3 drug pushers arrested, narcotics recovered

CHICHAWATNI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) The police arrested three suspected drug peddlers and recovered hashish 4,900 grams in a series of operations , the police officials said on Wednesday.

The crackdown was launched on the directives of District Police Officer Sahiwal, Muhammad Usman Tipu, targeting narcotics trafficking networks.

According to police, Station House Officer (SHO) Sub-Inspector Amjad Hussain of Noor Shah police station, along with his team, arrested a suspect identified as Amir Sohail and recovered 2,300 grams of hashish from his possession.

In a separate operation, Zahid Hussain, in-charge, Shireen Wala police post under Dera Rahim police station, apprehended a suspect, Imtiaz alias Lakha, and seized 1,100 grams of hashish.

Meanwhile, SHO, Inspector, Imtiaz Ahmad , Okanwala Bangla police station arrested another suspect namely Maaz Jatt, and recovered hashish 1,500 grams from him.

The police said separate cases had been registered against the accused and further investigations had been launched.
