LODHRAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) A two-day hearing aid fitting camp was organised at Government Special Education Centres of the district under Phase-II of the UNICEF Punjab Education Programme, benefiting 300 hearing-impaired students.
Students from the Special Education Centres in Lodhran, Kahror Pacca and Dunyapur were provided with hearing aids aimed at improving their communication and learning abilities.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf visited the camp and was briefed by Special Education Focal Person Hidayat Fatima Hashmi and Project consultant Farzana Ali on the hearing aid initiative and hearing technologies USA.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The DC described the camp as a commendable initiative, saying that children with special needs deserve society's utmost care, attention and affection. He appreciated the provision of hearing aids, noting that the devices would significantly improve students' education, speech development and overall quality of life.
Interacting with special children, teachers and parents, Muhammad Ashraf said the initiative would play a vital role in helping hearing-impaired students achieve a brighter and more independent future.
