SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) Thirty-seven self-financed development schemes worth Rs2.0847 billion have been approved for the four districts of Sargodha division on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister to improve civic infrastructure and public facilities.
The progress of the development programme was reviewed at a meeting chaired by Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Friday. He directed officials to immediately initiate the tendering process and complete all legal and administrative formalities to ensure timely execution of the approved projects, according to a spokesperson for the Commissioner's Office.
The meeting was informed that 14 schemes worth Rs936 million would be executed in Sargodha district, nine schemes worth Rs831 million in Khushab, 13 schemes worth Rs1.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>115 billion in Bhakkar, and one scheme worth Rs15 million in Mianwali. All projects will be financed through locally generated funds.
Deputy commissioners of the four districts presented detailed briefings on the proposed schemes.
The commissioner directed that all projects approved by the relevant forums should enter the implementation phase without delay and be completed within the stipulated timeframe while ensuring high construction standards.
Separately, in his capacity as Administrator of the Municipal Corporation Sargodha, Hafiz Shaukat Ali approved eight municipal development schemes worth Rs150 million to be financed from the corporation's own resources.
Deputy commissioners, the Director Development, and officers of the relevant departments attended the meeting.
