4 injured in house fire triggered by gas cylinder leakage

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jul, 2026) Four people, including two children, sustained burn injuries after a fire, reportedly caused by a gas cylinder leakage, broke out in a house near Educators school in Khokhar Chowk’s katchi abadi here on Saturday.

According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson, emergency teams reached the scene immediately after receiving the alert and launched firefighting and rescue operations. Firefighters brought the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to adjoining houses.

The spokesperson said the fire was apparently triggered by a gas cylinder leakage in a neighbouring house. The injured were provided first aid at the scene before being shifted to Jinnah Hospital for further medical treatment.

The injured were identified as 19-year-old Ali, 11-year-old Ayesha, five-year-old Owais, and 45-year-old Muhammad Ali.

Rescue 1122 said its emergency vehicles and firefighting teams remained at the site until the operation was completed. The exact cause of the fire is being investigated.
