471,622 Ramadan Nigahban relief cards distributed

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) 471,622 Ramadan Nigehban Cards on Friday distributed across Multan Division as part of the government’s Ramadan relief measures,while free Iftar facilities and price control operations continue to provide relief to citizens during the holy month.

The progress was reviewed in a meeting chaired by Commissioner Amir Karim Khan to assess Ramadan relief initiatives and Eid arrangements in the division.

Officials informed the meeting that 471,622 Ramadan Nigehban Cards have so far been distributed.

In addition,34 Ramadan Dastarkhwans have been set up across the division where more than 12,000 people were being provided free Iftar daily.

The commissioner was also briefed that five Sahulat Bazaars were functional across the division,attracting over 15,000 shoppers daily.

Since February 19,183 price control magistrates conducted 2,10,572 inspections to curb profiteering.

Authorities registered 4,789 cases,imposed Rs9.78 million fines,made 110 arrests and sealed 47 shops for violations.

Special cleanliness arrangements were made during Ramadan and 4,775 mosques across the division were cleaned.

Officials further informed that 235 government points were set up for flour supply where 14,869 bags of 10-kg flour were made available,out of which 12,963 bags were sold to citizens.

Relevant departments presented a detailed briefing during the meeting.
