48 held for violating smart lockdown

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Police have arrested 48 individuals and registered 36 cases for violating smart lockdown restrictions during the past week, officials said on Tuesday.

According to a police spokesperson,teams conducted a crackdown across various areas and detained violators,who were later sent behind bars.

Legal action has been initiated against the accused.

City Police Officer (CPO) urged citizens to comply with instructions issued by the Punjab government, directing businesses to close by 8pm and food outlets by 10pm to ensure implementation of lockdown measures.
