BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) A review meeting on the Annual Development Programme (ADP 2025–26) was held under the chairpersonship of Additional Secretary Local Government and Community Development South Punjab, Ms. Sameera Rabbani, at the committee room of the South Punjab Secretariat, Bahawalpur.
The meeting conducted a detailed review of the progress of ongoing and new development schemes across the Bahawalpur, Multan, and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions.
During the briefing, it was informed that work on schemes under the ADP 2025–26 was progressing at a rapid pace across South Punjab.
According to details, in Multan Division, 16 new schemes under ADP 2025–26 and 1 ongoing scheme were reviewed. Similarly, in Dera Ghazi Khan Division, 23 new schemes and 1 ongoing scheme were reviewed. In Bahawalpur Division, 9 new schemes under the same program were reviewed.
Overall, the meeting reviewed the progress and current status of 50 schemes under the new Annual Development Programme (ADP 2025–26), along with a detailed assessment of ongoing projects.
Addressing the participants, the Additional Secretary directed the concerned officials to ensure that all schemes were completed within the stipulated timelines without compromising on construction quality.
She further instructed Executive Engineers to personally conduct regular inspections of development projects to ensure effective monitoring, transparency, and maintenance of high standards in public welfare initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Secretary Local Government South Punjab, Khurshid Ahmed, along with Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and other relevant officials.
