65,566 deserving families receive Rs10,000 each via Ramazan Nigehban Card

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) Transparent and swift distribution of “Ramazan Nigehban Cards” among deserving families continues across Faisalabad division and 65,566 families so far obtained Rs.10,000 each through the card system.

Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar said that in district Faisalabad, 29,425 beneficiaries out of a total of 143,993 registered deserving families have received Ramazan Nigehban Card at their doorsteps.

In district Jhang, 15,425 families out of 77,084 have benefited from this initiative while in district Toba Tek Singh, 11,301 out of 46,107 registered families have received the financial assistance. Similarly, in district Chiniot, 9,323 beneficiaries out of 37,650 deserving families have been provided the cards.

He said that pace of card distribution has been accelerated further and this process would be completed by end of the first Ashra of Ramazan to ensure timely relief to all eligible households.

He emphasized that the administration is maintaining strict transparency and monitoring mechanisms to ensure that assistance reaches only genuine beneficiaries without delay or discrimination.

He further informed that six Ramazan bazaars have been established across the division where essential commodities including flour, sugar, gram flour, pulses, fruits, vegetables and chicken are available in ample quantity at prices 15 percent lower than the open market.

The initiative would help provide maximum relief to citizens during the holy month, he added.

He said that price control magistrates are actively monitoring Ramazan bazaars and general market to prevent overcharging and hoarding. Strict action is being taken against the profiteers and no one would be allowed to charge arbitrary prices, he added.
