7 drug suppliers arrested, Over 12kg drugs recovered during crackdown

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) On the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, Rawalpindi Police have conducted an effective crackdown against drug trafficking, arresting seven drug suppliers and recovered more than 12 kilograms of drugs in separate operations here on Thursday.

According to police spokesperson, R.A Bazaar and Airport police arrested drug smugglers and recovered 2 kilograms of drugs from their possession.

Similarly, Sadiqabad police have arrested another drug dealer and recovered 1.8 kg drugs from his custody.

Likewise, Saddar Wah police apprehended drug supplier and recovered 1.

8 kg drugs while Chontra police recovered 1.7 kg drugs from another arrested individual.

Following operation, Taxila police recovered 1.4 kg drugs from drug pusher and Pirwadhai police seized 1.3 kg after arresting another supplier.

Separate cases have been registered against all accused.

City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani stated that all necessary measures are being taken to eliminate the menace of drugs from society and reiterated that the crackdown against narcotics will continue without any leniency.
