Millat Park Police successfully traced and recovered a 7-year-old missing boy within hours through effective community policing and use of Safe City surveillance, officials said on Friday
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2026) Millat Park Police successfully traced and recovered a 7-year-old missing boy within hours through effective community policing and use of Safe City surveillance, officials said on Friday.
The child, identified as Saim Ullah, had gone missing when his father, Abdul Sattar, a sanitation worker who collects garbage from households, was working in Ittehad Colony in the Millat Park area.
Police said that upon receiving information, a case was promptly registered and search efforts were launched.
The child, who is mentally challenged, had walked from Scheme Mor to Anarkali Lower Mall.
With the help of CCTV footage and Safe City cameras, the police successfully traced and recovered the boy.
Abdul Sattar expressed gratitude to the police for safely recovering his son and offered prayers for their efforts.
Meanwhile, SP Sidra Khan appreciated the performance of SHO Millat Park Naim Sultan and his team, stating that along with crime control, community policing was also being actively promoted.
