72 held in crackdown on criminals,drugs recovered

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) Police arrested 72 criminals, including 16 proclaimed offenders(PO's) and seven court absconders,during operations carried out in the last 24 hours,a spokesperson said on Friday.

According to details,police recovered illicit weapons,drugs and stolen property from the possession of the suspects and initiated legal proceedings.

In separate actions,19 drug traffickers were arrested with authorities seizing 20kg hashish,4.48 grams heroin,1kg ice and 114 liters of wine.

Police have sent all suspects behind bars.
