74 one-wheelers so far arrested this month

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Lahore police have intensified their crackdown on one-wheeling and dangerous motorcycle racing, arresting 74 individuals during the current month. Cases have also been registered against them at various police stations.

According to a police spokesperson here on Monday, enforcement efforts have led to the arrest of 166 one-wheelers in Model Town Division, 146 in Cantt Division, and 100 in Civil Lines Division. Overall, 637 individuals involved in one-wheeling have been arrested so far this year, with 604 cases registered against them.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamiana has directed strict and indiscriminate action against those involved in such dangerous activities.

He emphasized the need for increased patrolling at known one-wheeling hotspots to prevent incidents.

The CCPO also ordered strict measures against individuals contributing to noise and environmental pollution by removing motorcycle silencers. Additionally, he called for action against workshops involved in illegal motorcycle modifications.

He urged parents not to allow underage children to ride motorcycles and instructed traffic police to enhance awareness campaigns promoting safe driving practices among citizens.
