7900 land cases pending:ACS South Punjab orders immediate disposal

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Additional Chief SecretARY(ACS) South Punjab,Fuad Hashim Rabbani conducted a surprise visit to the Cholistan Development Authority(CDA) office on Wednesday to review governance and administrative performance.

During the visit, he checked attendance of officers and staff and expressed strong displeasure over the absence of several officials. He directed the authorities concerned to initiate action against absentee employees in accordance with rules.

Later,the ACS reviewed progress on the Chief Minister’s “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar Programme”.

He was briefed by Director Revenue and Colonies Ehsan-ul-Haq and Colonization Officer Syed Muhammad Usman on ongoing implementation.

Fuad Hashim Rabbani expressed concern over 7,900 pending land transfer cases related to recent allotments and instructed officials to resolve the matter on an emergency basis.

He said the program launched under the vision of Chief Minister(CM),Maryam Nawaz would serve as a milestone in strengthening the economy by empowering landless farmers.

He added that transparency in implementation would not be compromised and assured that citizens would receive their rightful entitlements at their doorstep.
