AAC orders reports within three days on Lora mining complaints

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) Additional Assistant Commissioner-II Havelian, Sameera Mehsud, has directed relevant departments to submit detailed reports within three days after taking notice of public complaints regarding mining activities in Tehsil Lora.

Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram, the AAC on Saturday led a joint inspection along with a committee comprising officials from concerned departments to assess grievances raised by local residents.

During the inspection, officials reviewed available records and held detailed discussions on key issues.

The committee also carried out a comprehensive visit to a stone crusher plant to verify the allegations mentioned in the complaints.

To evaluate ground realities, the AAC and her team visited the homes of complainants, where they assessed potential environmental and social impacts while listening to residents concerns.

Following the inspection, Sameera Mehsud instructed all relevant departments to submit their respective reports within three days. She also directed revenue staff to provide a complete report on land ownership within the stipulated timeframe to ensure the matter is resolved strictly in accordance with the law.
