Abbasi emphasized students role in strengthening Pak-China ties

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) Federal Minister Mohammad Hanif Abbasi on Monday urged students to play their role in straightening Pakistan China friendship.

He remarked this while addressing a ceremony at the Government Graduate College for Women, Satellite Town, to mark the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.

The event, organized by the Department of Fine Arts, featured coin and stamp design competitions in which students showcased artistic expressions highlighting the long-standing bilateral friendship.

In his address, Hanif Abbasi appreciated the creative work of students and said Pakistan-China friendship remained a cornerstone of regional stability and development.

He said the young generation had a key role in strengthening and carrying forward this “iron-clad” partnership between the two countries.

Director Colleges Rawalpindi Division Amjad Iqbal Khattak and other education officials also attended the ceremony.

Principal Dr Fatima Gul thanked the chief guest and participants, saying such academic competitions helped enhance the professional and creative skills of students. She added that commemorating 75 years of diplomatic relations at the educational level also promoted cultural understanding between the two countries.

The event concluded with distribution of awards and certificates among position-holding students at district and divisional levels.
