Abbasi expresses grief over killing of former JUI-F MPA in Charsadda

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi Tuesday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the killing of former Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Member of Provincial Assembly, Maulana Muhammad Idrees Tarangzai, in Charsadda.

In a statement issued here, the minister termed the incident “deeply tragic and heartbreaking,” saying it has shaken the entire community.

He extended heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family, praying for strength and patience for them in this difficult time.

Hanif Abbasi said the slain religious scholar as a highly respected figure, a dear friend, and like a brother to him. “His services and personality will always be remembered with great respect,” he added.

He also prayed for the elevation of the departed soul’s ranks and for eternal peace for the deceased.

The minister further expressed concern over the police personnel injured in the incident and prayed for their swift recovery, acknowledging their sacrifices in the line of duty as invaluable.
