AC inspects rain-affected houses in Tehsil Lora, orders evacuation

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Assistant Commissioner (AC) Samira Mehsud visited Seer Gharbi in Tehsil Lora to inspect houses damaged by recent rains and reviewed safety measures to prevent any potential incidents.

During the inspection, it was revealed that several houses had sustained severe damage due to heavy rainfall and were in a highly dilapidated condition, rendering them unsafe for habitation. Officials informed that these structures could collapse at any time, posing a serious risk to residents.

As a precautionary measure, two extremely dangerous houses have already been evacuated to avoid any loss of life. The Assistant Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to ensure the immediate relocation of affected families to safer locations and to take all necessary safety measures.

The district administration reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens, stating that timely actions will continue regarding rain-affected and hazardous buildings to prevent any untoward incidents.
