AC Lalian visits church, assures security, harmony on Easter

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) Assistant Commissioner (AC) Lalian Dr. Muhammad Anas Saeed visited the church of Chenab Nagar on Easter, a significant religious festival for the Christian community.

According to AC office, he emphasized interfaith harmony and protection of minorities' rights as the Punjab government's policy.

He was accompanied by Pervez Akhtar, Chief Officer Chenab Nagar, and reviewed security, cleanliness, and facilities at the church. Dr. Saeed instructed staff to provide a peaceful environment for the Christian community to celebrate Easter freely and respectfully.

He assured the Christian community of Chenab Nagar that all possible facilities and security would be provided. He stressed the importance of respecting all religions and promoting mutual understanding.

The visit reflects the government's commitment to minority rights and communal harmony. Local authorities are working to ensure a peaceful Easter celebration. Dr. Saeed's visit was part of efforts to engage with the community and address their concerns.
