AC Paharpur launches crackdown on illegal LPG vehicles, overcharging transporters

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Paharpur Dr. Hamid, accompanied by Regional Transport Authority (RTA) teams, carried out a surprise inspection of Paharpur Bus Stand and Rangpur terminal on Wednesday.

During the operation, a vehicle illegally using LPG was seized and shifted to the concerned police station for registration of an FIR and further legal action.

The inspection teams also checked public transport fares and directed drivers involved in overcharging to return extra money to passengers on the spot.

Officials said the crackdown against illegal LPG use and transport violations would soon be expanded to Panyala and other areas to ensure passenger safety and improve discipline in the transport sector.
