AC Paharpur warns against negligence in public healthcare

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Paharpur Shahab Ahmad Khan paid a surprise visit to the Rural Health Centre (RHC) Band Korai following public complaints and found several serious irregularities affecting healthcare services.

During the inspection, the X-ray and laboratory sections were found closed, while several staff members were absent from duty. The assistant commissioner also observed poor sanitation conditions in the hospital and noted that no male doctor was present during the visit.

Expressing strong displeasure over the situation, Shahab Ahmad Khan directed the relevant authorities to initiate immediate action against those responsible for negligence and violation of duty.

He said the provision of quality healthcare services to the public was the government's priority and that negligence or carelessness in delivering medical services would not be tolerated.

The assistant commissioner further directed all employees to perform their duties with honesty, professionalism and punctuality to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services for the public.
