AC Paroa inspects flood preparedness at Juma Head

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2026) On the directives of the Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, the Assistant Commissioner Paroa, accompanied by officials of the Irrigation Department, conducted a detailed inspection of Juma Head here Friday.

During the visit, arrangements made to tackle potential flood situations were reviewed. The inspection focused on the strength of embankments, water flow, and rising water levels to ensure preparedness against any possible threat.

The team also examined the cleanliness and maintenance of various drains and waterways, directing timely repair and rehabilitation where needed.

The public was advised to adopt precautionary measures and avoid unnecessary movement near rivers, streams, and drainage channels.

Officials of the concerned departments were instructed to ensure advance preparedness, availability of machinery, expeditious repair work, and continuous monitoring to effectively respond to any emergency situation.
