AC reviews Ashura procession arrangements

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) Assistant Commissioner(AC) Kharian Ahmad Sher Gondal on Friday visited the route of the central 10th Muharram-ul-Haram procession in Lalamusa to review security and administrative arrangements.

According to officials, the assistant commissioner inspected the procession route and reviewed security, sanitation, traffic management, medical facilities, emergency response and other administrative measures in place for the peaceful conduct of the procession.

He expressed satisfaction over coordination among relevant departments during the visit.

Officials from Civil Defence, National Highway Authority (NHA),Punjab Police,Rescue 1122,PERA,Punjab food Authority(PFA) and the Health Department were present on the occasion and performing duties.

The AC also reviewed arrangements for mourners and emergency response mechanisms.

He directed all departments to remain vigilant, ensure close coordination and maintain effective measures for the protection of life and property during Ashura.
