AC reviews plantation drive on GT Road

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Kharian, Ahmed Sher Gondal, visited Lalamusa to review the ongoing plantation campaign on the central median of GT Road in Tehsil Kharian.

According to official sources, the assistant commissioner was briefed that 70 more saplings were planted on the day as part of the drive.

He was informed that around 90 percent of the stretch from Lalamusa to Deona Mandi had already been covered, while the remaining work would be completed by Wednesday.

Officials further said that small plants would also be planted along the entire green belt to enhance its beauty and improve green coverage.

The assistant commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure proper maintenance of the plants and restoration of green belts at all costs.
