Accused killed in police encounter in Chohang

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) An accused was killed and other fled during an encounter with the CCD in Chohang.

According to the CCD police spokesperson, the accused, Azmat Ali, was a resident of Narowal.

The CCD had set up a blockade and suspicious motorcyclists were signaled to stop.

According to the authorities, the accused opened fire on the police team, after which both

sides retaliated.

During the firing, the accused was killed on the spot and the other escaped.

The CCD officials said that the accused was involved in several robberies and cases.
