ADC directs to ensure provision of medical facilities to public in health centers

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Anwar Kakar on Thursday directed that provision of quality and prompt medical facilities to the public should be ensured in all health centers.

He said this while chairing a review meeting of the District Health Committee. The meeting was attended by concerned officers of the Health Department, Medical Superintendents (MS) of various hospitals, Finance Officer and representatives of PPHI.

During the meeting, a detailed review of the overall performance of Basic Health Centers (BHUs), Rural Health Centers (RHCs) and government hospitals established across the district was taken.

The concerned authorities presented comprehensive reports regarding the facilities available in the health centers, supply of medicines, condition of medical equipment, facilities provided to patients and problems being faced.

The meeting particularly emphasized on uninterrupted supply of medicines, attendance of doctors and medical staff, cleanliness arrangements and provision of timely treatment facilities to patients.

On this occasion, concerns were also expressed over the absence of staff and lack of facilities in some centers.

While addressing the meeting, ADC Anwar Kakar directed that provision of quality and prompt medical facilities to the public should be ensured in all health centers.

He made it clear that negligence and absenteeism in duties would not be tolerated under any circumstances and strict action to be taken against such staff.

He further said that improvement in the health sector is among the top priorities of the government, therefore all the concerned officers should discharge their responsibilities efficiently and take immediate steps to redress public grievances.

At the end of the meeting, instructions were issued to the concerned authorities to implement various issues so that better and timely medical facilities could be provided to the public.
