ADC inspects landslide-hit areas in Galyat, orders precautionary measures

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) The district administration precautionary measures in speedup landslide-prone areas under the provincial government’s Good Governance Roadmap. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief and Human Rights) Amanullah Saeed on Saturday visited landslide-affected localities in Bagan, Abbottabad.

During the visit, officials from the Revenue Department, Galyat Development Authority (GDA), Communication and Works (C&W) Department, and Rescue 1122 accompanied the team. Local residents briefed the officials on the ground situation and highlighted the areas at risk.

The authorities inspected two vulnerable sites.

As a precautionary measure, two houses were evacuated at the first location, while three houses were vacated at the second location to ensure public safety.

All relevant departments were directed to remain on high alert in view of the potential threat. The C&W Department was instructed to construct a retaining wall and clear fallen rocks at the first location, while the immediate removal of hazardous debris was ordered at the second site.

The officials also cordoned off both affected locations to prevent any untoward incident and ensure public safety.
