Additional IGP Karachi calls on Governor Sindh, discusses law, order situation

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi met with Additional IG Karachi, Azad Khan, at the Governor's House, where a detailed discussion was held on the overall law and order situation in the city.

The meeting also reviewed efforts for crime prevention and police performance.

The Governor of Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi, emphasized that the protection of the life and property of citizens must be ensured at all costs and directed the police to take effective and indiscriminate action against criminal elements.

He stated that providing a peaceful environment to the people of Karachi remains a top priority, adding that the elimination of crime is possible through close cooperation between police and the public.

He also appreciated the performance of the police and directed further improvement.

Earlier, Additional IG Karachi, Azad Khan, briefed the Governor on security measures and informed that rapid progress is being made on the Karachi Safe City Project. He added that modern surveillance systems are being utilized to further strengthen crime prevention efforts and that all available resources are being deployed to maintain law and order in the city.
